Miss Ida, Thank you dear, so very much! I'm a happy woman and I've both saved to my computer and printed off to take the pages to my sewing room. The boy's suit is more complicated and may take me a little longer to complete (many other projects ahead of these ones ) but I look forward to "playing" with these two patterns very much indeed! Thank you. The translations make a difference in how I look at the patterns, and it's a great help. You were so very kind to take the time.

Just thought I would post what the book has to say Moden 1790-1840
Girl's gown from early 1800's, of beige calico with red pattern. The dress is fastened with ties at the neck and with strings at the back.
Boys suit, c. 1800, of brown satin lined with white flannel, with covered buttons. On the left shoulder a button and cord, perhaps for the wide ribbon of an order.
