I think with the Holiday's people found themselves distracted by items more familial in nature I'm sure it'll start back up again or we could keep it up till others get involved again!

That was definitely the case for me. November came around and everything I had intended to work on had completely gone out the window. Goodness. I'm definitely interested in starting this up. And I'm still interested in perhaps doing a recipe/cooking advice type column. It would be great fun.

I also think it'd be neat to have a merchant area as well that might be helpful to folks lol I know i think it'd be helpful!
I had a dream where I started up a dress making and millinery shop here in Monroe where people would come in and be measured for dressed with bolts of fabric on the walls for them to choose from and they could pick which ever style of dress they wanted...it was a cool dream...if only I had won that $355 million lottery last night!

Exam time is coming for me soon-- I suppose those still in school are currently getting ready for Mid-term or so. However, I'd still be interested in helping the RSA Magazine (I don't think we've ever decided on a name yet, have we?) as well as writing some content.

How about a column on etiquette? Someone could take etiquette books of the time and modernize the rules in order to utilize them today.
Book Reviews; this is a good way for guest contributors
Images of events from our readers. We'd have to decide if we will leave them in photograph image or convert the image into a drawing using something like photoshop.
A recipe or two each issue. Or even planning an entire meal...
Pattern Reviews and images of finished garments
An upcoming events from around the readership; although this could get pretty crazy full, it might be a way to help people who are wanting to start a group of their own and need ideas of managable events to put on
Umm, off the top o the noggin, that's all for now (edited to move to the correct topic area, and delete my suggestions that were duplicates of others...)

All of these are really good idea's. Are you interested in joining the Magazine? If so, e-mail me (listed on my profile). We will really get going in the next couple of days. If you e-mail me, please send your name (not screen name), what you are interested in doing, and your email.

I am interested in contributing to the magazine. I have a couple of ideas. If we want to focus on "firsts" in the first issue, I'd like to write about Lord Byron's first speech before the House of Lords (the 200th anniversary of that speech happens to be coming up in Feb. 2012). In that speech he stuck up for the Luddites, who were breaking up factory machinery because mechanization threatened their jobs and livelihoods. Interesting parallels to our times, wouldn't you say? Another idea I'm researching is fallen women of various varieties in Georgian England and what happened to them. Can I ask if we have an editor who will be compiling contributions? Who might that be and how do we submit material?
