I have been perusing a fascinating original source for sewing instructions from the Mann Library at Cornell University. It is more Romantic Era (1839) than Regency exactly but the prose and instructions are truly lovely to read. I thought I would share... you can also browse by year which could be especially useful. The workwoman's guide: containing instructions to the inexperienced in cutting out and completing those articles of wearing apparel, &c. which are ususally made at home : also, explanations on upholstery, straw-platting, bonnet-making, knitting, &c hearth.library.cornell.edu/cgi/t/text/text-idx?c=hearth;idno=4396563
