Problem with custom ordered stays

I ordered some custome made stays from a seller on Etsy, and the first stays I got were very wrong; fit in hips and waist but about 10" too small in bust and front was too small. She agreed to try to fix it or make new ones. She ended up getting a new pattern and made new stays. Got them last week, and while the front and gussets seem to fit better, the overall fit is about 6-10" too small (can't lace them up past my waist with the provided cording, and my husband said trying to pull the top closed to see how it would fit, he didn't think the edges were inside of my shoulder blades even). I triple or quadruple checked all measurements before sending, and since sending, to make sure they are right. Why is it so hard to get these to fit??
I am going to buy some more cording today to try to lace up completely, as the seller recommended, but I anticipate the gap in the back will still be anywhere from 6-10", which I think is ridiculous. she said she usually makes corsets to fit with a gap of 4", which I'd be Ok with. If after lacing they still are enormously gapped, I am sending back to demand a refund.

Any comments or advice?
Any suggestions for shops on Etsy or Ebay or anywhere else online where I could get stays for around $100-150? I don't need anything fancy or super boned or embroidered, just something that fits and holds my girls up.

I second the recommendation for Lavender's Green. I purchased some long stays from her and I was thrilled. The price was right (spectacularly so in comparison to many places that I looked), too.
