Since no else has posted here I thought I'd say thanks to Beau. Without him we would not have the modern men's suit as we know it today. Instead, men might still be dressing in brocade jackets and tights ;D

Well... Without Mr. Brummell the modern man's suit might be a little more cheerfully colored; say red or bright blue, rather than the dark conservative colors it is today. Not all his innovations have survived, either; somehow trouser-stirrups seem to have failed to make it to the 20th century, let alone the 21st.

And with the exception of the 1960s, the frilly lace cravat has only barely survived :-)

I rather like a virile and masculine man wearing long hair and a frilly shirt, but only when they are young. Older men look so much more distinguished in plain suits. So, yes. Thank you, Beau.
