Well, I am reading Don Juan. It is my first experience with Lord Byron. It is really interesting so far. I have just started it today during my daughters nap. I am just worrying that maybe I should have started with a book of his poetry or something first. Anyone have any opinions on that?

I don't think there is any "order" to reading his books. I hope you enjoy reading his work. I too enjoy his writings.

Childe Harold is also excellent. He writes so many lyrical passages about the ocean and the ruins of Rome. It is one of my favorite Byron reads.

I think is it important to start with this piece, to get use to his writing style. I think it is also important to try to read his prose, and such, in the order it was written as it directly reflects his life and the enormous turmoil and changes he went through as he became more famous and more debauched.
