and forgot to ask: do you know if the riding pantaloons of the gentleman in the Hohenlimburg Sommerball are made of stockinette or plain cloth?

I'm afraid you've posed a question I cannot answer. Does anyone else have an idea?

and forgot to ask: do you know if the riding pantaloons of the gentleman in the Hohenlimburg Sommerball are made of stockinette or plain cloth? Just from looking at the picture, if they are plain cloth they'd have to be cut on the bias, based on how close they fit along the knee (I don't see any buttons).

What are your gentlemen up to whilst away at sea in His Majesty's Service? Now you can keep up with them by perusing their logs and journals aboard the HMS ACASTA. hmsacasta.blogspot.com
