eugene's pretty far. why so far south? Are there that many members down there? Right now we only have 12 memberships in Eugene, however we had over 24 attend the workshop. People simply haven't joined yet, but I'm pretty sure there will be a good attendance to the event. We'll only get more members down there if we offer more events in their area. It's a long drive for portlanders, even longer for me, but frankly, they have to drive a long way to portland area events themselves. Besides, there are plenty of things in the portland area for you to attend, so don't feel too left out.

Oh, dear heaven. That beginner's ECD day would be lovely, but I don't know if we'll be able to make it down the day before Finals start. Is there going to be anything like that in Portland before the Emerald City ball?

I'm curious who is going to the Emerald City Ball in Eugene? Count me and my hubby in :-) I am not decided yet. I was suppsed to be packing, but our landlord called us to let us know that the place wouldn't be ready for two weeks longer so we have to stay here. Which means I could spare a few hours to drive down. The hubby and the daughter do not have costumes yet . Also I always get irritated when I see emails saying that there will be food to make it worth the money when I can usually assume that doesn't include me. However I would love to wear my gown again and meet all of the newbies to the forum (like you) and say goodbye to the people I've met. I don't know how soon I'll be able to get back up here for another event after I move.

The hubby decided that the transmision fluid on the car must be changed while the weather was not rainy so by the time he finished it we couldn't have made it in time.

Allseeing you have Lizzy-like qualities in that picture with you and thea. I think you look really pretty. Thea's hair is really great. Who did it? Love the ribbons. Looks like a regnecy fashion plate.

Dear Allseeing, Looks like a successful event and it was a lot of fun! All the people and the venue look so beautiful. (Now if we can get the gentlemen dressed before they get arrested for public indecency, about in society in nothing but their under garments just won't do, sleeves must be covered ).

Lawlz.. too true, there was a shocking lack of frock-coats that evening. Many were simply removed for the warmth, however a few gentlemen arrived sans frock coat!
