You can get re prints of wonderful period cookery and entertaining books Hannah Glasse and Elizabeth Raffald on Barnes and Noble. They are both amazing books!

I made some Negus tonight using the reciept found here: www.janeausten.co.uk/magazine/page.ihtml?pid=458&step=4Instead of being patient (I had a limited amount of time), I grated the lemon peel instead of allowing the sugar to absorb all of the yellow. Maybe I'll have more time and patience the next time I make it! I used cranberry-pomegranate juice (I don't like alcoholic drinks) and ground nutmeg. Anway, I'll post a picture of it tomorrow. Maybe next time I'll try a different juice, too.
