This site is fabulous, the pictures are amazing, and I am no where near acomplished enough to cook their recipes. But, it is definately worth a gander. Plus, I'm allergic to dairy, so I would have to come up with substitutes .. Sigh... Anyway, here's the link. www.historicfood.com/portal.htm

Very cool site. I wish I had seen this a few weeks ago, there are some yummy looking period foods we may have been able to have at the Ball.

Some recipes of the Regency era can be found in Ian Kelly's biography on Antonin Carème, cook of George, Prince of Wales. www.iankelly.net/writer_cookingforkings/The author claims they are easy to do... ;-) I have not tried the recipes, but it read the bio and enjoyed it.
