giftshop.janeausten.co.uk/acatalog/New.htmlLook at the pretty necklines on these spencers they're selling thru the Jane Austen center. Click on the photo for a larger pic. If only I had 50 pounds. And a little lower, take a look at that lace bracelet *WANT*

OMG, the neckline is adorable on those! I love the low, standing crew collar, much like Lizzie's black spencer.
LOVE IT.

Maybe we can pool our money, and find someone who's going to Bath to buy us one that we can make a pattern from? I just had a friend on LiveJournal who thinks she has a crochet pattern that could be used for that lace bracelet. I told her to make me one!

While it's not in the budget this month (and probably not next!), I'm seriously considering ordering that plum embroidered spencer. Love It, Love It, Love It!!!!!
Anyone know how sizes in the UK run?

Oh so lovely!!! I wonder who makes them? I don't know but I wish they'd sell the pattern. Approximate $100 US for this plus shipping. Have to think about that for awhile. I did have someone on my LiveJournal that offered to buy one but I doubt it would be any cheaper for the shipping. Now if I could talk her into buying one for herself, and then make a pattern....

The more I look at it, the more I think that any regency bodice pattern w/ long sleeves would work to make that spencer
... or use the spencer patterns S&S or Mode Bagatelle (the collar on that spencer matches this one better)...
Then all you have to do is do some creative cutting to obtain that particular décolletage... A little swerve to the scissors down each front panel... It's not *so* complicated to get this look--I don't think it's entirely necessary to have the exact pattern.
This is just IMHO, of course.
