Oh alright, not really insanity, but some really crazy amounts of sewing. I have just spent the last couple of weeks sewing three dresses, two spencers, four shifts/chemises, one stay, two bonnets, and one pair of pants. I also cut out three more dresses, one of which a friend of mine took home to sew. We have our annual dinner for our reenactors group, and every time I turned around, my hubby was inviting more people. AAAAAAAH!
We are dressing up to go get our Christmas Tree, and take some family pictures, so I will get some pics posted soon. (Probably tomorrow) I will also be doing some pattern reviews.
On the plus side, we learned during this process that our town will be 200 years old in 2010. My friend and I got talking, and she knows the lady in charge of the bicentennial activities. We are going to talk to her about the possibility of having a regency ball. We want to start a Regency Society here, so that would give us a goal to work towards. (We both sew for our local Shakespeare festival, so a little extra time to prepare for our first event, and help people find patterns would be a good thing.) This dinner will be her first event. She is already hooked, now we just have to hook her hubby. I don't think it will be too hard, he is starting to get excited, now that she made him some pants, and we have other clothes to loan him.

Holy crimoli! That is one heck of a lot of stuff to have made in just a little more than two weeks! I'm IMPRESSED! Your gowns both turned out so pretty and do not at all look like 'rush-jobs'! I adore the bonnets (of course)!
The spencers are SO pretty! I wish I had a daughter to dress up! ::jealous:: ::grin::
Your daughter is so pretty with the curls! Adorable.
