Hello, I was at the fabric store a few days ago and so I took a few pictures of some fabric to get some opinions on them. Do you think these would work. In my mind I was thinking that perhaps the one on the left (sorry that its a bit blurry on the top it was taken with a camera phone.) perhaps for a day dress, and the one in the middle for an evening gown, and the one on the right I was just curious if it would be appropriate. cid-b8031e68dfa4bf99.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/The%20fabric%20store?uc=1&isFromRichUpload=1thanks!

Just wanted to add that you might want to spend some time looking at this website: www.demodecouture.com/realvict/Look at clothing from the 1790's to the 1820's to help yourself learn what 'real' clothing from the Regency era looked like. Enjoy!

Here's an interesting Regency gown in a heavier fabric - and with fringe, no doubt! You could do something like this . . . . A yellow gown - looks like a heavier fabric . . . A Oriental inspired version of Regency gown Or if you really love the fabric, and don't want to make a gown - maybe a spencer will do?

Hmmm.... Don't want to sound like a wet blanket.... but the red gown is made out of the most amazing gauze with netting (silk) for trim. It's a stunnning garment. And the yellow and green are silk. The yellow may be a slightly heavier fabric than the green - but both are light weight.

thanks for the advice, I really liked the blue fabric and it was a really good deal, so I went ahead and got it. I'm going to try it with simplicitys regency pattern, If it turns out I'll post some pictures.
