I recently purchased a summer weight wool to make a frock coat for my husband. I cut the fabric, and as I separated the pieces, I notices that one side has a shine to it. Is there any evidence that a gentleman might have a coat that was slightly shiny? He wants velvet cuffs and collars, so I don't think it would look bad, but it was unexpected. I suppose that I could put the shiny side to the inside. Any advice?
