So I was just wondering what your favorite version of Emma is??
I have seen three with Emma as:
Kate Beckinsale Gwyneth Paltrow Romola Garai
I think my favorite is probably Romola Garai. I love the depth that she brought to Emma's character, she made her much more likable than Gwyneth Paltrow did.

I haven't seen the Romola Garai version, but between the other two Kate Bekinsale's version is the best for me. She seemed a lot more like the Emma of the book. I really did not like Gwyneth Paltrow's Emma at all.

I liked Kate's version as well. Gwyneth made Emma seem almost standoffish and very insincere.
The Romola Garai version is definitely worth checking out if you get the chance. It was very well done. And the actor who played Emma's father was spectacular, can't remember his name at the moment, he also played Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies.

I agree about Gwyneth Paltrow I didn't care for her acting in the film. The same goes for Toni Collette who played Harriet, she is a very good actress but I just didn't care for the way she portrayed her. I've just started the newest version with Romola and I'm enjoying it very much.
