Oh I definitely prefer Colin Firth. I really enjoyed LiA, but I did come away preferring Wickham to Darcy, which really didn't feel right!!

I am having a pelisse made but I can't decide what type of material to have it made out of. I was thinking maybe wool, but I am worried that it will be too thick as I won't be wearing it during the winter, as there are never any regency events here then. Another option is a wool twill. Which would you recommend? Or is there another fabric which is better? Thank you

For anyone who finds themselves in England in May - The Horncastle Regency Festival
It is being held in the village of Horncastle in Lincolnshire from 24th - 27th May. There will be a Promenade, ball, talks, country house visit, tea and many more events. I think this is its first year but it sounds like it will be a wonderful event. www.regencybydesign.co.uk/horncastle-regency-festival/

Hi I am a huge fan of the Regency era (well the entire 18th and 19th centuries), but I love all things regency - Jane Austen, the clothes, the architecture, the dancing. I love attending Jane Austen events and I am also a member of a Napoleonic reenactment group. I think the RSA is amazing. I wish I could join but sadly I live on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. I did try to set up a 'Regency Society of London' but sadly I have yet to find any fellow Londoners who have any interest in the Regency era.
