Repost due to board rollback.
Georgia costumers! You are invited to the first of what are to be monthly sewing or crafting meet ups, to work on current projects while hanging out with other costumers and hopefully making new friends! Please keep in mind that the times aren't "concrete" so you can come and go as you please. The library does close at 9:00 so we have to be out of there by then, but don't feel that you have to be there the entire time if you don't want to be.
Details:
WHO: Costumers and Sewers of all kinds (Sci-fi, Historical, Anime, etc.) Everyone is welcome!
WHAT: Costuming circle where you can work on current projects and hang out with other costumers.
WHERE: The West Cobb Regional Library off of Highway 41 in Kennesaw
West Cobb Regional Library
1750 Dennis Kemp Lane
Kennesaw, GA 30152
WHEN: First Thursday's of the month from 4:30 to roughly 8:30 (the Library closes at 9:00 and we have to be cleaned and out of there by then).
Other stuff:
*We have a pretty large room, big enough for forty or so of us to fit comfortably. If you intend on coming please let me know by way of facebook RSVP so I know if I need to switch to the larger 80-100 person room. I'm not anticipating it to get that huge, but I'd like to know just in case.
*Cutting fabric takes up a lot of room, so if you'll be sewing something please try to have your pieces cut out before you get there so there is enough room for everyone.
*Make sure this is stuff you can handle doing away from your own home working area - things like spray paint, projects that require heat or power tools, and so on, shouldn't be brought to the library.
*You are responsible for your own equipment (Sewing Machine, extension cord, power strip, etc.) While someone might have extras it's never safe to assume so if you need something in particular, make sure you bring it with you.
*We ask that small children not attend as there will be scissors, pins, and the occasional iron out and accidents do happen.
*There is a kitchen attached to the room so if you would like to bring snacks, etc. you are more than welcome to.
