Regent/Regency Punch or Regent/Regency Punchinello ( as you can tell, I do adore Punch!)? The Regency Times?

I recommend we stay away from anything that is/was published in recent times, like Punch.

Hmm true, considering the last Punch issue was released in 2002 (although the last "true" Punch issue was released in 1992). Anyways: The Regentonian? Albeit it does sound a bit...awkward. I like the sound of that one!

I really like the Society Scribbler but what if we added "The Regency Society Scribbler" The RSS? Just a small idea.

I like Belletrist, but I'm curious as to it's etymology.
Some other suggestions:
On-dit The Regency Salon The Drawing Room Le Bon Mode (the good mode i.e. manner/way) Mode

I like Belletrist, but I'm curious as to it's etymology. "1.A person who writes or is concerned with belles-lettres" belles-lettres (uncountable) 1.literary works valued more for their aesthetic qualities than for any informative or educational content"

I think that is officially my favorite.

The Belletrist sounds like something I would pick up but I would not even think of looking at it if I were a male.

The Belletrist sounds like something I would pick up but I would not even think of looking at it if I were a male. I must agree. The Belletrist is a lovely name, and I do love the sound of it, but if I were a male, it would not sound appealing to me.

Is the target reader a male? Looking at the desired subject matter, I am thinking like this forum, 99% of the readers will be female... Nor am I convinced that any decently informed reenacting man would turn his nose up at a fancy-schmancy word... They've made the effort to learn about the period, I don't think they'd be turned off by the word.

I do not believe that it is something that we really need to be worried about.
