Does anyone in the Seattle area know of where I could get a thick leather strapping? I'm making a battle helmet for my cousin who is in "gladiator training" it's an acting class. Anyway, she's very prone to concussions and is always getting hit on the head, either by herself (She's klutzy, runs in the family) or by others.
Anyway, she doesn't want to wear a helmet cause she's afraid it'll block her plane of vision (very important in the arena) and it'll be really hot.
Silly I know, but I understand too. So I have a plan but don't know where I could find the leather. I was thinking of getting a couple belts. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!! Manda

It's too bad you're up in Seattle, because the Oregon Leather Company in downtown PDX has leather in all shapes and sizes, in hides, on a roll, in straps, thick, thin... I LOVE that store, it's like walking into a tack shop (they have one upstairs but it's mostly Western so Blah), but either way, it's also near where Saturday Market is, so it might be worth a weekend jaunt.
