Jane Austen Birthday Tea/ Dance/ 200th Anniversary of Pride and Prejudice

Inland Valley Conservatory is pleased to announce 'A Regency Period Tea' to celebrate
the birthday of Jane Austen, Christmas, The 200th Anniversary of Pride and Prejudice and
the opening of The Classical Theater Series season 2012. The series of theatrical
productions will bring to life the works of Classical authors including Austen, Dickens,
and more, performed in Temecula valley vineyards
Hosted at the delightful Callaway Winery in Temecula, guests will enjoy a special event
filled with surprises and excitement. The menu shall include Regency Christmas inspired
delights, paired with the award winning wines of the Callaway Vineyard. Special guest
Doctor Laura Brodian Freas, founder of The San Francisco Bay Area Regency Society, will
provide a lecture and rousing session of Regency Ballroom Dance in the beautiful Barrel
Room. Dancers of all levels are welcome.
A reproduction of Jane Austen's clothing, as illustrated in The Friendship Book/Album
of James Stanier Clarke , will be displayed with documentation, as well as a dramatic
reading from one of the upcoming productions of The Classical Series. Unconfirmed rumors
suggest the Jane Austen herself may be among the many guests in attendance.
The wearing of Regency Period costumes is greatly encouraged, although not required.
Seating is limited, and by reservation only. Tickets for sale starting Oct 1, 2011.
