Fort Norfolk War of 1812 Weekend June 9-10, 2012 Norfolk, VA
The Regency Society of Virginia, in conjunction with event hosts, The Fort Norfolk Garrison War of 1812 reenacting group, are pleased to have the opportunity to present the civilian aspect of the War of 1812 at Fort Norfolk, the last of 19 harbor-front forts authorized by President George Washington in 1794. The fort looks very much like it did in the early 19th century. Registration for costumed interpreters is required and those in costume must conform to authenticity standards for this event. For more information or to register, e-mail the RSV at events@varegency.org.
