RSA forum members,
I'm sure many of you who know me have noticed my lengthy absences from the forum. I've been a busy lady, to say the least, and in part my ability to provide the level of attention to the RSA forum and he website has been hindered.
I've decided it's time to pass some of these things on to people with good ideas and good energy to provide towards the forum and the RSA site and its member groups. So, I asked Mr. Albert Roberts (known to most of you as The Doctor) and his lovely lady Miss Waterman to take the reins.
Robert and Maggie are the ideal people to head the RSA. Robert is founder of the Tennesee Regency Society, which is adding another chapter to its group. He's a wonderful reenactment enthusiast with a good background in historical costuming and recreations. He's a talented graphic designer, so everyone can look forward to a new, updated look for the forum and website, and he has great plans for the RSA website and intends to make it a more interactive place for people to go and learn more about regional groups in the USA.
Maggie is also a talented costumer and presenter, and I've called her the 'Poster Girl' for Regency in every way. This team will keep the RSA going and bring it to new places.
I will continue to be involved, but now at more of a pace that suits me. Lately, I've been letting go of control of many of the Oregon Regency Society activities, and trusting other, wonderful people to take the lead to make our group as wonderful as possible. I can now focus more on the details I have always wished to focus on, my own costumes, the blog posting on the ORS page and my personal blog, and the other pursuits that have lost their colour and appeal of late because I have been burning the candle at both ends.
So I ask that you please welcome Robert & Maggie as the new RSA muckity-mucks. I'm excited to see how far this team will take our forum and the RSA as an organization.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Johanesen
