Hey everyone! I decided I wanted my first historical garment to be short regency stays. I downloaded and printed the e-pattern, taped it together, cut out fabric for a toile, and sewed it together. However...it's short on me. Like, it doesn't even cover the girls. When I wear it over my bra, there's a inch that peeks out. I figure it should at least be the same length as my bra. Is the pattern drafted for short women with a short waist? I'm 5'7", 36C. I cut out a size 16 and used C cup gussets. I drew a line to show where the stays end and the bra begins, so you can see how short it is on me. I bought Simplicity 4052 as a backup, in case I can't get this pattern to work for my body. It's out of print, but I was able to get it for cheap on eBay.
