Are we missing your favourite Regency theme or subject? Let us know. Is one of the boards too broad? Suggest some sub-boards to us then.

Yes,
What about a catagory for Jane Austen adaptations on stage and screen? I've got quite abit to say about 'Becoming Jane' (2007)!

If you look under personalities, there are three sub-boards; one is for screen and television, the other is about her books. I haven't seen becoming Jane; I am apprehensive about anything that attempts to depict Jane Austen using Anne Hathaway.

Do you think that we could have a pinned thread in the costumes section for people to post their dress blogs sites? After all of my research for gowns/mens' costumes I would love to see more work by other enthusiasts. I'm sure that other newbies like me would like that too. I am going to set up a dress blog as well so that others can see my crazy adventures as a newbie to regency fun.

Sure. That's a great idea.

Where is the correct place, if there is one, to talk about regency non-costume or crafts. Topics such as manners and ettiquette or games and sports or any thing else really.

How about a place to list upcoming events? Or even better, a calendar with events.

Done.

I was wondering if you could make a section in the Costume section about costume book reviews. I have reviews of some books that I have been reading and I am wondering about some others.

Thanks for adding that. DO you think that you could change the heading from Pattern Books to Costume Books? The books I want to discuss don't particularly have patterns in them.

How about a section for Regency food? Would that go under crafts?

I would think that that could fit under culture or crafts if you wanted.

I apologize if this is being too nit-picky or if this is the wrong place to bring this up, but a lot of the page titles for this forum read "Regency Society or America" rather than "of America."
Otherwise, the entire message board looks very robust and well thought out! Thank you all for creating this place.

I know, Cosmo pointed that out to me in the beginning, and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to change that now. ::ARGH:: [edit] WOops, never mind. I fixed it. ::: 'oh!::::

What about a thread where a newbie can introduce themselves into society. Sort of a "come out" thread? This is my first "season" and I wasn't sure where I was permitted to say hello to all my fellow regency fans. What a wonderful site you have!!! It's like a dream come true to know that I'm not the only person on the planet longing for a time long gone to us. I was also looking for any information, advice or suggestions on how I could go about starting up a society in my area to join in your group. How to I go about contacting other regency lovers in my area? We have nothing as wonderful as your society down here in the south. I would love to start our own chapter down here but simply don't know where to begin.
