Would anybody know where to find dancing pamphlets (not necesarrily authentic, but maybe just images)? Or books or transcripts, or some such thing?
I seem to remember there was this one website that sold CDs of authentic maps, images, tour guides, etiquette and such, but for the life of me I can't find it.

Nope! Though I am definitely interested in checking it out.
I don't thin there was music in it- I believe it was a CD-ROM of images, or text files of transcribed booklets from that time period, or a combination of both.

That site rocks. Still not the one, though!
I've been googling, too. I must know. I must find this. I was on the verge on buying it too, before my old computer crashed.

I FOUND IT! Thanks so much for the search, though the links you sent me are FABULOUS, and will surely make my bank statement look frightfully low. If you were curious: www.printsgeorge.com/PrintsGeorge-Prints-First.htmOddly enough, I see nothing on dancing here. So what you sent to me was PERFECT. And my mind has played tricks on me AGAIN. And I ended up having to use the ask.com binocular thing to preview the page. Hurrah for photographic memories!

The Prints George page is gone, is there any other way to access this CD?

I have launched a post on my blog about the "Lady Caroline Lee's Waltz". It goes with dance instructions, a free music download as mps3-file and a music sheet (pdf-file). Lady Caroline Leigh was a distant relative of Jane Austen. Her son James Henry was a second cousin to Jane. It is easy to imagine that the “Lady Caroline Lee’s Waltz” was danced as part of the evening entertainment when Jane visited James Henry. The music sheet for the “Lady Caroline Lee’s Waltz” was part of Jane Austen’s library. It is, however, still the status quo of the Austen-research to have solely proven she danced the boulangère, and I don’t want to imply anything else. I learned the dance at a weekend course about Dances from Jane Austens Time. You are very welcome to visit the blog and try the dance yourself.
