Men's Garments, 1830-1900 By R.I. Davis
ISBN: 0896761088 ISBN: 0713458933 ISBN: 0887346480
Recommended, but see below
This book was intended as a reference for theatrical costumers, and contains instructions for drafting patterns to a set of measurements for frock coats, tail coats, jackets, waistcoats, and trousers for each decade from 1830 to 1900. The earliest patterns are post Regency, but they are a good starting point to modify from.

I have just discovered that there are two books by R.I. Davis:
Men's Seventeenth & Eighteenth Century Costume: Cut and Fashion by R. I. Davis and William-Alan Landes
and Men's Garments 1830-1900: A Guide to Pattern Cutting by R. I. Davis
I only own the second one, but now I want to find a copy of the first!

You know what Goblin? I own both of these books and while they offer some good info he frustratingly skips the Regency period!

You know what Goblin? I own both of these books and while they offer some good info he frustratingly skips the Regency period! That is true, and very frustrating. I've generally used the 1830's patterns to draft something that will fit me, and then used The Cut of Men's Clothes or Federalist & Regency Costume: 1790-1819 to alter the shape to something more Regency-ish.
