Careful about the undated ones! The second to the last one "American Straw" and the two "Straw and Taffeta" bonnets are dangeriously 1840's looking to me! (In fact, they shriek 1840's )

(In fact, they shriek 1840's ) I know they look late just really thought the straw technique was really easy to see since there have been questions about the whole straw hat making idea.

That's it, I've decided that hats need to come back into style. That are just so much fun!

A little late coming to this thread - just joined the group today. I agree, wish we could wear hats more often.
These are beautiful - always glad to be able to look at original bonnets of the early 19th century so I can judge what I could use in my impression.
