Angela had those little slip-on fabric mary-janes.... I can email her to find out where she got them... they looked adorable.

I have a great pattern that I think will be perfect for this. I adapted it from another shoe pattern. They turned out cute. This is the pattern I started with: www.heatherbaileydesign.com/BittyBooties.pdfThe top part I made it a U shape instead of just cutting down the center like the pattern says. Here is a picture of my altered pattern: Here is the end result: edited to add: I shrunk the pictures in photobucket but they are still huge! Sorry!

Red shoes! RED SHOES. I had the pleasure of seeing an amazing art exhibit in September called "The Changing Face of Childhood". My friend and I were amazed at the number of times red shoes showed up in paintings for this period.

OMG, those are SO cute. I really, really, really wish I could make little shoes like that for tiny tootsies. :::ARGH!!!!!!::::
Everyone needs to take a few seconds to wish me a baby, and maybe all that focused wishing will shift the winds of fortune and make me preggers!! ARGH! Oh, and wish me a girl too...

Cosmo, those shoes are really cute. I think they’ll work if you add bows – they can be decorative as opposed to functional. Here are two Lawrence portraits of children for you to enjoy. Check out the little red shoes! Both portraits are at the end of the 18th - beginning of the 19th centuries. Isn’t the little one in the cap and coral necklace just adorable? I love the blue skeleton suit with the brass buttons too!

Those are precious. I love the red shoes! The little girl with the pink sash in the top photo is so precious cute. Her little gown is just remarkable.

I recently made some that might fit the regency era. They were pretty easy, and all hand sewn. Simplicity #2867

Aww! You must search online. Even I bought Carbon38 tank tops, shoes for myself and tiny little cute shoes for my kid recently. I am sure you get a lot of options online now days. I have most of the things online for my kid, and you will eventually find one good website for everything.
