Okay, so I finished my head-dress for the Regency Ball on November 15. It's a two-banded diadem, with one band wrapping around the top of my crown and the other going 'round teh back of it. It looks like an open mouth, so to speak. I've dressed it appropriately, and I imagine I'll but my curly bun through the opening with some curls down teh sides of my face. However the plume is an issue.
I've managed to install it, but not without some difficulty. Setting it to your desired angle, and actually making it stay like that as you affix it are different stories. Now it's on there, and it either stands arched high above my head, or if I flip the diadem over, it arcs diagonally over the back of my head. It is a very floopy black ostrich feather.
How should I wear it, arched high, or low and back-sweeping?

How can I shroud my costume in mystery if I'm posting pics of bits and pieces all over the net?
