speaking of the bib front gown - since I have now seen two you have made, I must say you do a great job with those - someday I will have to make one for myself :-)

Thank you! I've gotten quite attached to the whole idea of the bib-front. They shape better because of the drawstring, and there's no end of interesting things you can do with the stomacher. I've made many more than just two at this point. The green one was my first, but I have since made one for Tara, one for Sherry, and helped my other friend Stephanie (SII) to make one just two Sundays ago. I also made a new one for me; a checked gown out of a plaid voile. Tara's black maid's gown... I used the Mode Bagatelle's mock-bib-front pattern but made it an actual bib-front, which was surprisingly easy to do. You just can't go wrong with Mode Bagatelle, it's a whole wardrobe in a package and it has all sizes in there... it's a treasure trove of variety. Sherry's gown: If you recall, I started making a gown for Sherry using the Reconstructing History pattern--which was a disaster. I used the Janet Arnold pattern from the book to do a new bodice (I kept the stomacher)... and customized the sleeves. I also just threw on a round-gown as I always do.. always just easier that way. on Sherry as she gave garden tours of the Pittock Mansion. SII's gown (back) My new bib-front (as I struggle with my broken parasol) and Stephanie to my left in hers.

Beautiful images, Steph! I wish I lived closer and could join you on some of your ever so fun looking outings!
Just wanted to add - I'd love a closer look at Sherry's gown on her. It looks adorable! Love the bib detail!
