I have dabbled in wire sculpted jewelry for the last 4 years. I know that forms of wire sculpture date back long before Cleopatra. I usually work with resin cameos, as they are cheaper. I would be curious to get some feedback as to if you think this style of jewelry would be appropriate. Here are some examples: This cameo is about the size of two quarters tall. This cameo is about half that size, one quarter. I also work with semi precious stones. This black onyx is just slightly smaller than the orange cameo.

I am also looking at possibilities of earings. I saw on one post that there were some changeable styles that could be made longer for evening. I have some ideas I am working on, and would appreciate input or suggestions.

Thank You
I sculpt in Sterling Silver and 14K Gold-filled Wire. The Blue one is $75.00 Canadian. Do you think they are appropriate for Regency dress?

I've never been accused of being a freak for accuracy, so my opinion shouldn't count for very much, but frankly, I'd buy that to wear with a costume in a second.

I agree completely. I'd even wear it with modern clothes. Just gorgeous.

Dear Miss Mardi,
Those necklaces are drop dead gorgeous! As far as appropriate, I would have to say yes. I just looked at some portraits I have stored on my computer and these necklaces are very similar, I would say the same style, as some from the Queen Anne period and the Regency/Federalist period.
If I only had someone to buy for that could appreciate it, I absolutely love the black onyx piece. You have a wonderful talent that I may have to tap into one of these days. Out of curiosity, what would the black onyx piece set me back?

Those are absolutely beautiful! You should really talk to Sue Spencer about selling them I know they would be a big hit, and your prices are so reasonable I was expecting so much more for that gorgeous blue cameo!
