I've just finished watching Part One of "The Glass Virgin" -- and it's WONDERFUL!!!
I'm not sure how accurate the costumes are (it's not a period I'm really familiar with), but for being a tv production, the music, the acting, and the overall production value is really really high -- especially for the early 1990s. And the actors!! I've loved them all.
I'm so excited to see the rest of the Catherine Cookson movies.
Has anybody else seen any of them, or read her books? I know she sets them in periods ranging from the mid 1800s to the 1900s.
I have The Wingless Bird on the way.
I haven't been this entertained by anything other than Austen in a loooong time!
