Important Updates Added 11/06/09
There was a miscommunication between myself and the venue owner. She didn't realize I was fine with children coming and that our group was adults only, and I didn't realize they don't allow children to come to large scale functions such as this. The "house is not equipped" for kids, as there are antiques and ornaments everywhere, and they use open flame candles on the tables for tea pot warmers and light. I am sorry if I've upset anyone with this, but it's too late to find another venue and we'll be having more events in the near future that kids will be more than welcome at. This is something I'll make absolutely sure to clarify for further things that we do.
Menus for High Tea, Lunch, and the Tea List have been added to the Events Page at our website.
If you decide you'd like to have High Tea (the fancy tea with all the trimmings), it has been made clear to me that I have to give an exact number of the amount of people that want this particular item. They make everything the day of fresh and do just enough for the amount of orders that have been reserved. In the event that a reservation does not come, they are still expected to pay. This means, if you RSVP I need to know if you intend to have High Tea. If you do, I'll need a check for $27.65 for each person going (I'll send you an address through email). This will absolutely NOT be cashed before the tea and will be handed back to you when you arrive and you may cover yourself and do as you like. If you are unable to make it, and cannot give at least 72 hours notice of cancellation, that check will be used to cover your portion of the tea. If you don't want high tea and are intending on coming, then you don't need to send a check or anything like that.
We are doing Door Prizes! We are giving away a couple dresses, reticules, gift certificates, tea, and a few other things. Everyone that comes will be given a ticket to "play." If you'd like to donate an item, please contact me at info@garegency.org.
