I've been watching the traffic that comes to the ORS blog and website, and what people are searching for, and many, many people are looking for how-tos and tutorials on bonnets, turbans, costume components, cravats and more...
Perhaps we can create something here of a how-to category where experienced people can post youtube tutorials, picture journals and links to tutorials for people who come to this site.
What do you think? I have a few bonnet tutorials to share... plus I want to make a turban movie... how about you costumers... are there projects you're doing that you can document for this how-to section? Do share!

Hm, in the next couple of weeks after this semester ends, I'll try to get together a tutorial for something. I'm not going to show someone how to put together an entire dress because that's a little more than I want to get involved with, but I'm sure I could contribute somehow : )

I think this is a great idea! I would love to put together something for your how-to section. I don't know what, exactly...maybe a guide to selecting period fabrics, or an annotated "slideshow" of period portraits? Anything you think might be most useful. Is there a way to take a poll on the board to see what members would be most interested in? I know I'd like to see more information on men's fashion and to see a variety of ways to tie a neckcloth.
