Both of these events sound like fun! Perhaps I can convince people in my area to make a road trip some time.... Hmmmm.....
I am curious how many people you typically have at these events? As we are still trying to get our group off the ground, I am always interested to see what other groups are doing.

Our last event was a recreation of the Black Horse Tavern which was here in TN in 1808. We had 12 people show up for that one. Our first event was a picnic at Traveller's Rest and we had 14 people come out.
Know that you and your members are more than welcome to join us at any of our events.

What a fun event! I wish we weren't stuck on the far side of the continent. I'm looking forward to reading an account of the day, however!

Jane Austen Society, Atlanta Region, will be having a meeting at Agnes Scott College on Sunday, June 12, from 2 to 4 pm. Details at www.JASANatlanta.org. This is a sort of early kick-off for the next fiscal year which begins September 1. We have invited different Austen-esque organizations such as the local colleges, English Speaking Union, English Country Dancers, etc to drop by and say hello. Then we have a presentation by a professor from Emory University followed by some 'Jane Talk.'
