I've made this dress up twice, before I really knew what I was doing, and it went together very quickly both times. The lower sleeves are really long, the upper sleeves are really poufy, and I raised the waist as it seemed low on me. I'm pretty petite (5'2) so I am used to having to shorten here and there. This would be a good option if you don't mind that the construction is modern. The finished product is charming, and you could easily modify the design or add trimming based on fashion plates. The instructions were good, the pieces matched up, and I felt the fit was good. I made both gowns to be worn over modern undergarments, no chemise or stays, and the pattern is designed for "modern figures".
