Hi, Can someone help give me insights on the vices that took place on regency race courses (1810-1818). Whoring, Betting and all. Also Where rich and poor sat there. Did they charge admission fee to enter ? It's the social aspect i need to find of this sport not the technicalities concerned with horses itself. And , the same information will help me about the Prize Fights of the time. I thank you for any info you can provide me.

I think horse racing was mostly something the wealthy attended more...Ascot comes to mind and though it's the wrong time period "move your bloomin ass!" Perhaps there were "cheap seats" there I don't know...I think Bear Baiting, and Pugilist matches were some things more along the lines of the common masses (though some were also attended by wealthier gentlemen I'm sure) Cock fights, dog fights...generally animal cruelty nastiness.
