Hi, I'm happy to meet you all! I'm interested in Regency fiction, especially of the late Regency and romances like Heyer's. Recommendations for good traditional (and good non-trad) Regencies appreciated!
My favorite author of Regencies would probably be Joan Wolf, not because of her detail (not her forte) but because of her powerfully intense romances. I'm a big fan of Veryan's work too, again-- powerful emotion. I've not been keeping up with the more traditional Regency work lately -- I have been re-reading Heyer, so that's taken up my time. But I'd love to hear about writers who are working in the genre and what readers are appreciating.

Hi, Alicia! I'm afraid I'm more of a non-fiction gal, myself, so recommendations from me would be ill-informed at best (unless your taste for fiction runs toward the naval variety...I'm a self-confessed Hornblower addict...). That said, the beauty of this site is that--regardless of where your Regency interests are--we are all admirers of the period. You are very welcome here! -uHf
