I fear it is my lot as a widow to push myself forward. Being still in mourning I am newly out and always alone and having no one to introduce me properly I hope I do not offend by putting myself so forward!
As a longtime Janeite, I flatter myself that I will be made welcome as I've heard only the most lovely things about you all.
My Christian name is Dianne and my full surname is Spencer-Watson. You may all call me Dianne, Di or Mrs. Watson - whatever suits your personal sensibility. I'm quite affable. I am from Ohio but after losing my husband I removed to Tennessee to be nearer to relatives.
All attempts to load up my personal Avatar have so far failed me, but I shall persevere or perhaps use one of the ones that have been so kindly provided.
I look forward to making your acquaintance and assure you I am Most sincerely yrs very truly

Welcome Mrs. Watson, we are delighted to have you. I do hope you will think of joining the Doctor on some of his regional outings.

Welcome, Mrs. Watson! So glad that you found this wonderful forum. I echo The Doctor's and Madame's entreaties that you seek out the RSATN events when you have the opportunity.
Again, welcome!

Thank you all for your most kind welcome! I am beginning to feel quite at home already. I most surely will try to enter into the spirit of all the forums and gatherings you've all most kindly suggested. Am a little shy of doing these things alone but hope to find many friends to meet up with before long.
