Hello,
My name is Amy, I've been a Jane Austen fan for awhile now. I found the RSA while looking for regency related groups in Indianapolis (haven't found any yet, but there must be one here someplace!).
My favorite novel is Persuasion. I think I like it best because the heroine Anne is shown proving herself to Captain Wentworth simply by being levelheaded, kind, wise; she is always dignified and maintains her composure in all situations. Her personality contrasts so much with her ridiculous family members. But I do feel _a little_ bad for her older sister, who ends the novel with no good prospects at all and the knowledge that both her younger sisters managed to make good marriages. But she was such a conceited, snobbish person! Maybe Jane Austen believed in karma?
At any rate, I am happy to have found the RSA and this forum. If anyone knows of any Indy based Regency groups, I'd very much appreciate a link or contact!
Thank you!
Amy
