As a rule, folks who are partial to the Regency Period are generally polite and pleasant society. We will not overmoderate these forums; but we do hope that you will be genteel enough to draw the lines for yourselves. There are some basic rules that we will provide to begin with; and hopefully we can leave it up to you to figure out the rest.
Rule #1: Common Consideration is expected at all times.
Rule #2: Swearing is not permitted at all.
Rule #3: Personal attacks, confrontational behaviour is not welcomed here.
Rule #3: This is not a place for free advertising. That sort of spam will be removed. You are free to announce your events, but within reason.
Rule #5: Intolerance, judgemental behaviour will not be allowed. There are people of all walks of life, ages and beliefs here. Every one of them is entitled to their norms.
Rule #6: No whining. ;D
Rule #7: Rely on the ol' grain o' salt. It is difficult to interpret tone when something is typed; it is easy to misinterpret a post. Just ignore it if it bothers you. You are also free to email your moderators if you think there is something inappropriate being said.
Rule #8: Do not feed the trolls. For Message board newbies, a Troll is someone who intentionally comes onto a thread and who posts something contraversial in order to stir up the bees' nest. To entertain any of these types of posts with a response is considered feeding them, and encouraging them to continue. If you are a troll, please be aware that if members are disrupted and annoyed by one particular person, I will have no problem, being grand mistress, booting you off the forum for good. This is a civilized, polite place, and I intend to keep it that way.
Thank you.
The Grand Mistress.
