I have been thinking of organizing a tea one afternoon as a little activity for the ladies of the group I have been involved with. The group doesnt put on activities like balls or dinner parties so I thought this might be a start.
So speaking of starts where do I begin? I have read the thread about the ball checklist and found that very informative but it seems to be targeted for an event of a larger size. I figured those of you involved with the ORS would be able to give me a lot of details about your teas and the planning involved.
I am thinking about 10 ladies will be in attendance, I am planning on holding the tea during a weekend camp at my tent, I have a rather large marquee (14' x 19') and a smaller wall tent, so there would be plenty of space. I mostly need help on a menu and a sort of take-away favor for the ladies, and well anything else I may have left out.

Miss Credit (sorry, don't know your first name) I cater English afternoon teas, and provide all the china and accessories. I've done it for almost 8 years now. If you'd like to email me cinnamonhrts AT yahoo .com, I can send you a LOT of information on how to set one up, all the accessories needed, etc, and tips on how to do it. It would be in a bunch of Word Documents sent as attachments. It's too much info to put on the board here. Or if there's just certain info you need, I can be more specific.

Well, I think we're ALL gifts from God, but I'm happy to help. I got your email and the documents are enroute. And pleased to meet you, Brittany. Val

Could I get an email with those documents too, if you still have them? I would love to learn more about tea parties! I don't want to just email you out of the blue asking for them, so I thought I would ask here.
