These are the same boning tips that my instructor put on my boning. She was clamping them down by hand with pliers. Except some of them came off, and when I had to pull two bones out to replace them with shorter ones. the tips came off inside the channels, so I had to work them out. I'm buying some shorter bones this weekend and will just buy ones the exact size I need and don't need tips. What a pain! I've heard of a machine that crimps them, similar to putting pics on flower stems, but none of us have seen one.

I just pinched them on with my husband's pliers. I hope that's enough to keep them on.

I lost one of the tips it just fell off. Then because I was trying not to lose anymore I pinched one so hard that it split down the side. I now have to go buy more tips.

I've just posted a photo heavy "tutorial" of sorts on how to clamp the tips to the end of the boning. I don't often have the ends come off. I've never had anyone bring something back to me saying the ends came off. I don't need to add super glue as I once read as a suggestion to ensuring the ends stayed on. That just sounds plain messy to me and a potential for disaster! I hope it helps! P.S. The machine is expensive!
