Mode bagatelle has a lovely crossover bodice pattern... you can make the robe front very easily. third gown -------------V I think S&S has a new crossover gown as well. It's in the "elegant lady's closet" pattern

I love that dress Marianne is wearing.
That looks like some great patterns all seeing!

It's in the "elegant lady's closet" pattern I do have the mode bagatelle pattern and have made the crossover bodice but never have done the skirt like Marianne's dress. I believe you are right, I think I could modify it!

No, I took that pic off Sensibility.com.
I haven't made a crossover yet. I think I am going to make one for my winter ballgown though. It might be a deep V-neck rather than a crossover, but it will probably come from that LMB pattern.
I can't imagine it would be very hard to have the skirt open, and fasten closed up front like Marianne's. After tackling this latest bib-front project I'm doing without cutting a pattern to speak of; I'm feeling very bold.

Steph - I think that you should make the white Danish Museum gown for the winter ball.

Steph - I think that you should make the white Danish Museum gown for the winter ball. That's sort of what I had in mind. I'll need to find a good fabric to make that in. :::SWOON:::

I don't know anything about that museum. Is that dress a miniature?! Nope not a miniature. I didn't think so, but if you look at the scale of the detailing (needlework?) at the bottom of the dress, can you kind of see what I was looking at?! Can't you just see a Barbie doll wearing that?! (and, of course, rocking a mad regency 'do! lol)

Fabric Depot has a beautiful voile that would be just the thing. Fabric Depot is killin' me. They're expensive. Their muslins alone are WAY too expensive. I can get muslins as low as 99ยข a yard at JoAnne's, FD's cheapest one is $2.99 a yard... Expensivo. AND they dont' really have a good selection of printed muslins. They cater to quilters with all those printed cottons. Ack. Even with their 30% off sales, they're expensive. I'd like to hit Mill End too and see if they have stuff too... But I'll check out voiles with you at FD; however I'd like to price shop the material if I can.

On the second to last gown, white with gold pattern, does anyone know anywhere that fabric could be found similar to that?

What do you think Cosmo? A printed muslin. Seems heavy for a voile.
