colour schemes in this particular garment style.
Has anyone else seen any extant garments or fashion plates depicting varied colours?
Thank you!

I've seen a red one made of wool with black soutache (sp?) trefoils and trim. I'm trying to remember where I saw, I'm not sure if it is on the web or not. If it's a link I'll post it when it's found. Otherwise I'll try to dig it up from my files.

This one is particularly striking. I've seen one of the black and whites on the Decker page in colour somewhere else... I can't think of where though. It's a grayish blue.

Yay! Pale blue is the colour I was going to use and it seems very appropriate! I thank you!

I'm sure pale blue would be fine. Practicality dictates dark colours when spending time around horses, (I have personal experience with this ). Regardless, here is an extent habit in white: www.meg-andrews.com/showitem.php?item=6345

We cannot have a horse in the city limits of Seattle, regardless of how much land we have. Plus, my husband travels all over the world for work, so I would have to find a reliable stable for when I was gone Oh well, one cannot have everything.... but I do so love horses. I found some dark emerald taffeta that I may use instead and then use the pale blue for an overgown to another dress... darn now I have to make TWO new dresses

I have many fashion plates I have never organised properly. I shall have to get on that and see what I can find. I have about 200 of them and they are all tucked in books and such
