Cosmo took this great picture of hubby of the torn drop-front breeches. I am thinking of ebaying the whole ensemble and using the funds to get the pattern that Goblin is going to use for his tailcoat. He needs a new waistcoat anyway. I thought it might go well as a set. Do you think I should auction it? Opinions pleeeease. (doesn't he look handsome?) Two people told me he had the best male costume there. ::breathes on knuckles and buffs them on her shirt::: Don't mind the big girl trying to hide behind the small fan ::smirk:: I'm rather proud of my hair. It turned out nicely, I think.

I think that both your outfits are lovely, and I'm not sure if it were me I could part with something that I had put so much work into...though if it is going to fund and even better outfit it might be worth it! The full outfit would be work a lot!

Why don't you just auction off the Pants with the Jacket? Since you are going to make new breeches anyway and the pattern you'd like to buy is for a jacket. That way you don't have to redo the entire outfit just for one pattern.

That way you don't have to redo the entire outfit just for one pattern. That is a very good idea! I second cosmo. Jackets and pants tend to be harder to make in my books, so a beginning seamstress would perhaps just want to buy part and make part. I've done that with renaissance outfits I've put together.

Dan has worn that waistcoat twice, and I am thinking that the frock-coat would sell better with a waistcoat along with it. I have some really nice new fabric for a new waistcoat; and the waistcoat is not that hard to do. The breeches however, I'd like to take more time on and make more fitting. Besides, they're fitted to him now and they're ripped. I'm not sure how well they'd sell (breeches).

I haven't sold anything yet, but I wonder if a set might not sell better than individual garments?
On the other hand, I wouldn't sell it until I had the replacement finished, just in case. :-)

I have an extra tailcoat and waistcoat if needed; I hate them both but they will do in a costume 'emergency'. ;D
