Unfortunately I don't have the equipment or know how to get pictures from the Sharpe's films to show you. And I don't have a scanner to scan what I have in some of my books - I have some Men-At-Arms books that are fantastic with uniforms of this era of a good many nations. When I get some time I'll have to do some searching on the web and see what I can find for you (after being off work sick for a few days I'm trying to get caught up). Perhaps Mssr. Goblin may have some links. I'll let you know when I find some things. I did check my books over the weekend, but didn't find any pictures worth scanning in. The Rocket Troop was part of the Royal Horse Artillery, and wore the same uniforms. Thus they dressed like hussars, only with cannon. I found some pictures at: www.historikorders.com/royalhorseartillery.htm

Master and Commander is a truly excellent film, well written, well acted, historically accurate. I love how the ship is almost an additional character. I get to brag a little here. The ship used in this movie is anchored in the San Diego harbor and I've been on it. No pictures tho. It's a lot smaller than I expected. I haven't made it to San Diego in a while, but if I do, I must visit the Rose/Surprise. Do they let you go below decks? H.M.S. Victory in Portsmouth was one of the largest warships of the era, and seems very small, too. It's hard to imagine that it was home to over 800 men for months at a time.
