I am looking for a nice paisley/indian bordered shawl. I would love it if it weren't wool or cashmere.

Why don't you want wool or cashmere? I'm vegan.

Does that mean silk is out too?
Then pretty much all your options left will be to do a search for "rayon or polyester pashmina." Maybe a cotton sari could be recut to suit?

Actually I saw some really beautiful paisley fabric at JoAnn Fabrics. Do you live in the US? If so, you might want to check them out. I nearly bought some but I had to buy some other things. I don't know what the fabric was, I don't think it had any animal fur. It may have been some cotton blend.

I should look at Sari's I don't know how I didn't think of that. Sarha - Yes, I'm in the US I will have check out JoAnns.
