Where do you buy your supplies for making bonnets? I am craving something crafty.

I am thinking a straw bonnet base that I can make fabulous. Or perhaps starting with buckram. I am constantly drooling over the hats at austentation.

Someone told me that Austentations sells blanks of two of her bonnets, I don't recall which ones. I'm about to make another for myself, but I'm going to make it a stovepipe bonnet, using just crafty things I find around; I'll cover it in the silk from my pelisse from the ball. I also got some cute feathers and a medallion. I just use the 18" straw hat base from michaels and whatever else I can scrub up. Leko of Hatsupply will also make a buckram for any pattern you provide, so remember that too. This bonnet was made with hatsupply's collapsible hat: www.simplicity.com/index.cfm?page=section/classroom/sewprojects/EraBonnet/eraBonnet.cfm
