Hi ! I am trying to make a capote as part of a school project, and had a few questions...
How would the shape of the capote be made before adding any fabric (I am using straw) ? Would a wire be needed on the brim? Where are the decorations placed? Are laces used to tie under the chin?

I'm sure Steph can give you more details since she's made these but for now go to the Simplicity classroom for making one. If you're using straw for the brim you won't need wire. Cosmo's referral is excellent for reference and shape.
